WHY?????????????????????????

DrewnRyan, why didn't you invite me over to let me see firsthand the destruction of my site via NetDisaster?

Do you hate me now?

Plaid shorts

Everyone was wearing them at school today.

If you wear plaid shorts, I want you DEAD.

They are ugly, they are tacky, they make you look like you either just woke up or went golfing. They don't go with anything (surprise!) except plaid flannel shirts and that sends a mixed message.

People, they make you look like you're wearing boxers on the outside of your clothes!!!!2 :o

There are better ways to look fashionable (and trust me. Wearing plaid shorts, you don't.)

Ugly. Mkay?

:(

I was listening to the radio today and the announcer was describing their station as having "today's best music". Followed immediately by the song "Lonely" by Akon.

If "Lonely" is "today's best music", then I am affeared for humanity.

Grimthetic.

The obligatory music post

Okay, I downloaded Morcheeba's new album, The Antidote, off iTunes a couple days ago. C'est assez bien ("It's pretty good", for you frenchiephobes). I especially like: "Wonders Never Cease", "Ten Men", and "Like a Military Coup" (which is #1). I really only downloaded it because I heard that they were similar to Astaire, but I guess I'm glad that I did.

If I had to rank Ivy, Astaire, and Morcheeba, it would go:

1. Astaire
2. Ivy
3. Morcheeba

Not that I don't like Morcheeba (I do! Uh. . . really!), but it's not as breathy and simple as the other two. Morcheeba's genre is hard to describe. iTunes has it as "electronic", but that's not really accurate. It's more a rockish/poppish at times/funkish/bordering on R&B a little. If I had to give it one, I'd say funk, but you've got to hear it to believe it.

Which reminds me, I never did a post on Ivy, did I? I recently downloaded their new album, In the Clear, too. It's a 3-man band (well, 2 men and 1 woman) in the same vein as Astaire. Rockish/poppish europop. I'm very picky about my favorite music, so usually the songs I like are 1. sung by a female vocalist (check), 2. pop/rock with that little dash of another genre (check), 3. about love (check, although this is more of a preference than a requirement).

Other artists that meet these requirements that I know of: Diana Anaid, Feist, Tegan and Sara. (I recently listened to Tegan and Sara's new EP (I think). I hated it. Walking With a Ghost is the only song of theirs I like.)

These are all the songs in my "Favorites" playlist right now:

360 -- The Humble Brothers
Amazing Race Theme -- John Keane
Breakdown -- Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
Ch-Check It Out -- Beastie Boys
Cold As Ike -- Thomas Newman
Design -- Fiction Company
Four in the Morning -- Ivy
Great Life -- Goat
I Just Wanna Live -- Good Charlotte
I Predict a Riot -- Kaiser Chiefs
Jerk It Out -- Caesars
Jimmy Neutron Theme -- Bowling for Soup
Keep Moving -- Ivy
Kids in America -- No Secrets
L-L-Love -- Astaire
Last Thing -- Diana Anaid
Like a Military Coup -- Morcheeba
Mail Myself to You -- John McCutcheon
Ocean City Girl -- Ivy
One Evening -- Feist
Rhyme the Rhyme Well -- Beastie Boys
Stairway to Heaven -- Led Zeppelin
Time After Time -- Sparklemotion
Triple Trouble -- Beastie Boys
Walking With a Ghost -- Tegan and Sara
What Makes the Monkey Dance -- Chuck Prophet

26 songs. One iPod to rule them all.

By the way, I hate Lord of the Rings.

Bye now.

Okay, I'm changing my Random Question! YAY

Previously it was:

Aren't papier mache cuts the worst?

I responded,

No. Papier mâché is a very nubbly material and is not capable of inducing cuts.

No more shall I imagine the surely painful experience of being on the receiving end of a papier m
âché cut every time I look at my profile!

New question:

You've been entered in a shadow puppet contest. What's your best pose?

J'ai r
épondu,

OMG! Did you know that shadow puppets are called "wayang" in Indonesia?

Wait, what?
