Apple merges iPod and iPod photo!!!!!! (plus iTunes 4.9)

You heard it here first!!!!! well, no you didn't or maybe you did because you depend on my blog for all your news which is sad because it's really not a news blog

CUPERTINO, California—June 28, 2005—Apple® today announced that the iPod® and iPod photo lines are merging, creating a single line of white iPods that all feature color displays with the ability to view album artwork, photos and play slideshows in stunning color. The simplified iPod lineup features a 20GB model, holding up to 5,000 songs priced at just $299 and a 60GB model, holding up to 15,000 songs priced at $399. Also starting today, iPods will offer an easy to use Podcast menu, including bookmarking within a Podcast and the ability to display Podcast artwork in color.

*jealous* I want one even though my fourth-generation iPod is perfectly fine. But then again I'm a sucker for shiny stuff. I wonder if freeipods.com has one yet? (no that's not how I got mine I bought it with my hard-earned money thanx)

In Other Apple News: iTunes is out. yy podcasts. So far I have downloaded: BBC News, a French travel program, a German news program, iTunes New Music Tuesday, a KCRW political debate show, a Mac news show, and an Al Franken one that doesn't work :(

Another observation: This is the first time ever that all of the posts on my main page were written during the same month. Wow. This is huge.
