The band formerly known as "Astaire"
is now known as "Blondfire".
For those of you with the incapacity to click on a link, I will summarize: my favorite band Astaire is changing their name to Blondfire due to threats from those bad, bad people from the Fred Astaire estate. (Fred Astaire is spinning in his grave right now.)
If you go to their website, http://www.astairemusic.com/site.html, you can see a Flash animation that proclaims, "blondfire. . . The artist formerly known as 'Astaire'". (Shouldn't that be "artists"?) And their iTunes Exclusive Live EP is coming out soon (they say tomorrow)! yy!
I have to say, this new name of theirs is quite tasteful and catchy. Although only Erica and not Bruce is blonde.
On a related note, I purchased a T-shirt from their online store a few days ago for $20.00. Now it's $15.
I feel cheated somehow.
